Flagler Beach Dining Guide: 12 Local Spots for Seafood, Burgers, Ice Cream & Sunset Drinks

Can you smell that? Salty air, warm cinnamon-colored sand, and the delicious aroma of grilled seafood drifting along A1A…

Welcome to Flagler Beach: a retro Florida beach town where the pace is easy, the buildings stay low, and some of the best places to eat and drink are just steps from the shore.

One of the best things about staying at Bombora Oceanfront Suites is the walkability. From our oceanfront property at 901 N. Ocean Shore Boulevard, you’re close to Flagler Pier, beach cafés, seafood restaurants, casual bars, coffee shops, and sweet treats.

No long drives. No hunting for parking. No organizing the whole evening around traffic.

Just stroll, eat, sip, wander… and stroll home again.

Here are 12 local spots to add to your Flagler Beach dining list.

A quick note: Walking times are approximate and depend on your pace, the weather, and where you start. Some restaurants are a very easy stroll from Bombora, while others are a longer walk along A1A. Check current hours, menus, and entertainment schedules before heading out.

Seafood, Pier Views & Casual Beach Bites

1. The Golden Lion Café

About 8–10 minutes south of Bombora, The Golden Lion Café is one of those classic Flagler Beach stops that feels practically made for vacation mode.

Look for casual seafood, beachy plates, cold drinks, ocean views, and a lively atmosphere. It’s also a favorite place to keep in mind for Live Music, especially when you want dinner and entertainment without making a separate plan.

And did I mention the gelato? Grab something sweet after dinner and take a slow walk along A1A. Fish, fries, gelato, salty air… not a bad evening.

2. Funky Pelican

Right near Flagler Pier, Funky Pelican is a great all-day option for breakfast, lunch, dinner, seafood, burgers, and casual beach-town energy.

This is the spot for combining a meal with one of the easiest things to do in Flagler Beach: walking the pier. Watch the fishermen, check the Surf conditions, or simply stand at the end and let the Atlantic do its thing.

For families and groups, the broad menu makes ordering easy. Everyone can find something, and nobody has to dress up.

3. Tortugas Florida Kitchen & Bar

A little farther south, Tortugas Florida Kitchen & Bar brings a relaxed Florida-Caribbean feel to the waterfront dining scene.

Expect seafood, island-inspired flavors, cocktails, and a breezy atmosphere. Tortugas is also known for live entertainment on select nights, so it’s worth checking the current schedule if your ideal evening includes dinner followed by music.

Want a table with a little energy? This is a good one.

4. Flagler Fish Company

When the craving is specifically seafood, Flagler Fish Company deserves a place on your list.

The atmosphere is casual and local, with seafood-forward choices that feel right at home in a coastal town. It’s a good pick when you want fresh fish and a relaxed meal rather than a formal dining experience.

Go hungry. Come back talking about the catch of the day.

Burgers, Pizza & Easy Group Meals

5. FARO Beachside Eatery

Sometimes the answer after a long beach day is pizza. Not just any pizza: Roman-style pizza, made with scratch-made dough and quality ingredients.

FARO Beachside Eatery is located on A1A near the boardwalk and serves casual contemporary Italian dishes, pizza al taglio, panini, small plates, cocktails, Italian wines, and more.

It works beautifully for a relaxed sit-down meal, a quick slice, or takeout back to your suite. Sandy feet welcome…

6. Rocky’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

For a more traditional pizza night, head to Rocky’s Pizzeria & Restaurant.

The menu includes classic, specialty, and Sicilian pizzas, along with wings, garlic knots, pasta, heroes, calzones, salads, and desserts. In other words: easy choices for families, groups, and anyone who wants a comforting meal after a full day in the Sun.

Order a pie, walk it back, and settle in for a casual night at Bombora.

7. Johnny D’s Beach Bar & Grill

Johnny D’s keeps things colorful, casual, and beachy. It’s a good choice for burgers, bar fare, cold beer, frozen cocktails, and a laid-back atmosphere close to the ocean.

Select nights may include Live Music, so check the current schedule before heading out. This is the kind of place where dinner can easily turn into one more round… and then one more song.

8. Oceanside Beach Bar & Grill

Farther south along A1A, Oceanside Beach Bar & Grill offers breakfast, burgers, comfort food, and an oceanfront setting.

It’s especially appealing when your group wants a familiar menu and a casual dining room or patio atmosphere. Visit Flagler also highlights Oceanside as a live-music stop on select evenings.

A hearty meal, a cold drink, and the ocean nearby: classic Florida beach getaway logic.

Breakfast & Coffee for Slow Mornings

9. Sip & Surf Coffee Co.

Start early at Sip & Surf Coffee, a neighborhood coffee shop at 701 N. Oceanshore Boulevard.

You’ll find espresso drinks, specialty lattes, organic teas, matcha, smoothies, bagels, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and baked goods. The Banana Bread Latte sounds especially tempting after an early beach walk.

It’s open early, which makes it a natural first stop for Sunrise Coffee before wandering down to the water.

Coffee first. Questions later.

10. Java Joint Beachside Grill

Java Joint is another solid breakfast and coffee option, with a relaxed ocean-view setting and a fuller morning menu.

Think breakfast plates, breakfast burritos, eggs Benedict, coffee, and a porch where you can ease into the day. It’s a little farther north, so consider making it part of a longer walk or pairing it with a bicycle ride.

Of course, you can also make breakfast at Bombora. Every suite has a full kitchen, so pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, and Coffee are all easy to manage without leaving your ocean view.

Ice Cream, Gelato & Sweet Treats

11. Golden Lion Gelato

The Golden Lion’s gelato shop is one of the easiest nearby answers when the group starts asking for Ice Cream.

It’s perfect after dinner, after the pier, or after a warm afternoon on the cinnamon-colored sand. Pick a flavor, take a stroll, and let the evening stay wonderfully unplanned.

Because does anyone really need a reason for gelato?

12. Kool Beenz Coffee & Smoothies

For something cold and refreshing, Kool Beenz Coffee & Smoothies is worth adding to your list.

You’ll find coffee drinks, smoothies, smoothie bowls, oat-milk options, and creative chilled beverages. Their blended coffee with ice cream is especially fitting for a mid-day sweet treat.

It’s a good stop when you want something lighter than a full dessert but still crave a little vacation sweetness.

Sunset Drinks, Live Music & Evening Wandering

Flagler Beach faces east, so the Atlantic is at its most dramatic around Sunrise. In the evening, the sky glows over the mainland and inland horizon while the ocean keeps rolling beside you.

That makes late-day drinks especially easy here. Take a walk, grab dinner, listen to music, and enjoy the changing light without getting back in the car.

For current entertainment ideas, check the Visit Flagler live-music guide. Golden Lion, Tortugas, Finn’s, Oceanside, and Johnny D’s may all have music or entertainment on different nights.

Finn’s Beachside Pub is a favorite for an open-air oceanfront deck, seafood bites, a full bar, cocktails, and weekend bands. Their downstairs space also features sports, karaoke, and additional entertainment during the week.

Prefer a quieter evening? Pick up a drink or dessert and head back to Bombora’s shared ocean-side patio.
